Fast Lane ?

On 23rd NOV 2008:

When approaching Penang Bridge ... Bring out my Smart Tag but ...

What's the point by spending RM1++ for the Smart Tag? I though is should be a Faster Lane ?!? This not the 1st time ... lost count liao :(
